Ballet Uniform
• Dancin' Dots, Pre-Primary, Primary and Standard 1
Pink nylon lycra skirted leotard, pink ballet socks, pink leather ballet shoes with fitted elastic,pink cross-over cardigan
• Grades 1-4
Sky blue cotton lycra leotard, pink ballet socks/tights, pink leather ballet shoes with fitted elastic, pink cross-over cardigan.
• Grades 5 and 6
Navy cotton lycra leotard, pink ballet tights , black cross-over cardigan or black all-in-one body warmer, pink leather ballet shoes(split soles) with fitted elastic
• Intermediate-Foundation/Intermediate/Advanced
Black camisole leotard with thin straps (cotton lycra) pink ballet tights, black cross-over cardigan or black all-in-one body warmer, pink leather ballet shoes (split soles) with fitted elastic (Intermediate/Advanced require soft blocks)
NB short matching skirts may only be worn with leotards by students when assisting with younger classes
• Boys wear a school t-shirt and black shorts for class.
Modern Uniform
Primary – Junior classes
• Burgundy nylon lycra short sleeve unitard, black jazz shoes.
Black school T shirt/sweatshirt/black jazz pants may be worn on top for the warm-up at the start of the class.
NB The uniform will be changed for the junior modern class to meet examination requirements.
• Senior classes wear a black leotard and black jazz pants for class.
• Boys wear a school t-shirt and black jazz pants for class.
Tap Uniform
Primary – Junior classes
• Burgundy nylon lycra short sleeve unitard, black jazz shoes.
Black school T shirt/sweatshirt/black jazz pants may be worn on top for the warm-up at the start of the class.
NB The uniform will be changed for the junior tap class to meet examination requirements.
• Senior classes wear a black leotard and black jazz pants for class.
• Boys wear a school t-shirt and black jazz pants for class.
• T shirt and combat trousers/black jazz pants with jazz trainers or sports trainers.
For displays the students will require a school Tshirt and black combat trousers or jazz pants.
The uniform can be purchased from one of our parents who will deliver your order to your child's class. The prices are very competitive although you are welcome to purchase from a dancewear shop - just please check you have exactly the correct style and colour as the uniform is used for exams and sometimes displays.

Appleton Thorn School of Dance T-Shirts and Sweatshirts
We also have black T-shirts with the school logo on the front, available in fitted and loose fit styles. Also black hooded-sweat shirts with or without a centre front zip opening. These can be worn to and from class as well as on top of the uniform at the start of class for warm up only (not for ballet classes as the uniform is a wrap over cardigan). These can be ordered from Karen or ask the class teacher for an order form.
